Investigating patterns, causes, and effects of infectious and emerging diseases to inform prevention and control strategies.

Infection Prevention and Control

Developing and implementing evidence-based practices to prevent and control the spread of infections in healthcare and community settings.

Epidemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response

Building capacity and systems for early detection, rapid response, and effective management of epidemic threats.

Epidemiology of Non-Communicable Diseases

Studying the distribution and determinants of chronic diseases to develop prevention and management strategies.

Evaluation and Quality Assurance of Health Systems

Assessing healthcare delivery systems to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of health services.

Mother-Child Health

Researching maternal and child health outcomes to reduce mortality and improve wellbeing across the lifecycle.

Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)

Investigating patterns and drivers of antimicrobial resistance to develop strategies for prevention and containment.

Biosecurity

Strengthening biosafety and biosecurity measures to protect against biological threats and ensure safe laboratory practices.
